Bright Biomethane constructed a new biogas upgrading system in a small village near Rennes in France. The system facilitates production of biomethane from biogas, which is produced from various waste residues.
This compact system produces 75 Nm3/hr of biomethane from 140 Nm3/hr biogas, but can be extended in the future to produce more biogas. The produced biomethane will be directly injected into the national grid and is used for cooking and heating. Alternatively, the produced gas the can also be used as CNG (vehicle fuel). In addition to the production of biomethane, the system can also be extended with a Bright CO₂-liquefaction system to recover and liquefy the CO₂.
